Altun Ha is a small site in the Belize district that was a classic period site (AD300 – AD900). This site was not very far from the coast of Belize and it boasts the largest jade piece of art ever found in the ancient Maya world (The jade head in the image of Kinich Ahau, the Maya sun god).
We can leave from San Ignacio to this site at 8AM and we can be there by 10:45AM. The tour could be anywhere between two and three hours long.
What is interesting with this tour is that its combinable with the Belize Zoo, the smallest little zoo in the world.
