At this site, one of the most majestic pieces of art work called a frieze was built. Once wrapped around the entire building, we have lost the North and the South sides of the frieze and more than half of the West frieze.  Fortunately the East frieze and a part of the West frieze are still evident of this most spectacular art that was built at 800AD. This piece of art is a testament of their mythology, politics and religion that dominated the psyche of their world.

The price on this tour is for 4 guests

This site is located about 9 miles away from San Ignacio town just off the highway in the village of San Jose Succotz in western Belize. Its boundary on the south is the Mopan River which we have to cross on a hand-cranked ferry. The car and driver first then the guest immediately after. We all get into the vehicle and travel one mile uphill to the sites parking lot.
