this is a great opportunity to do the cycle of the Maya cosmo vision. An opportunity to experience the middle world and then enter into the underworld. Two very different experience.
Xunantunich is set across the Mopan River which is furthest Western Belize. Twenty miles south west of Xunantunich Barton Creek cave awaits. This watery place become a wonderful ‘full circle’ ancient Maya political and spiritual world opportunity for all guests who choose this interesting combination of trips.

Xunantunich is approximately 7 miles west of San Ignacio town. Cahal Pech sits on a hill inside San Ignacio town. Barton Creek cave will have us on 13 miles of highway if we traveled from Xunantunich (6 miles if we traveled to it from Cahal Pech), then 7 miles from there on dirt road from the turn off at the village of Georgeville.
A cultural experience awaits once at the Barton Creek Community as its the conservative Mennonite domain. This is an added cultural treat for our guests.
Two wonderful experiences in one day. Thats hard to beat!
